The Prophet ﷺ said, “Show affection to the orphans and feed the poor”.
The Gambaru and Ngala region of northeastern Nigeria lived under the violent rule of militias for many years before being pacified by the central government at the turn of 2017. The conflict left the local population living in camps in acute need of food, health care, and clean water – surviving on less than a liter of water per person per day.
